xml daten verarbeiten, hilfe

hallo,
ich stoße im moment an meine gedanklichen grenzen und komme auch nicht mehr weiter, obwohl ich alle foren durchsucht habe. ich habe folgendes problem:
ich möchte aus einer xml datei verschiedene photoshows auslesen udn steuern.
anbei das sript:

so, nun würde ich gerne mit der navigation (t) das firstchild anhand der variable i aufrufen. d.h. n1 ruft 1 gallery auf (firstchild) n2 die zweite usw...

irgendwie hab ich einen denkfehler und komme nich weiter. kann mir jemand der profis helfen?.
